FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What is digitising?
Digitizing is a process which transfers your image file into a readable embroidery file. Modern day embroidery is done by sewing machines that must have the correct embroidery format to complete the job. Every time you see a shirt with an embroidered company logo or a hat with an embroidered sports team emblem, that design was “digitized”. Embroidery digitizing is the process of converting existing artwork into a stitch file that an embroidery machine can sew on a garment. Before any design can be embroidered, it must be digitized. Great digitizing is the foundation of great embroidery.
  • What are the costs involved when ordering embroidered garments?
Garment Price Polo’s from $16.50 Singlets from $15.50 T-Shirts from $13.00 Embroidery costs per position from $5.00 Digitising (Artwork Costs): Prices can vary depending on the design and how many stitches are involved in the sewing.
  • Can any file be digitised?
Yes and no. Any design can be digitized, however, embroidery places some limits on the appearance of a design that do not exist in print designs. Small letters, tiny details or colour gradients can sometimes be difficult to reproduce in thread exactly. We recommend lettering to be no smaller that 5mm.
